Authentic Assessment
- At the end of the workshop, participants will work in groups to create a sample interactive lesson using resources from the Notebook Software that goes along with the SMART Interactive whiteboard to show their understanding of the workshop. Participants must make sure to include the standard, essential question, and purpose of the interactive lesson. The interactive lesson must include media sources such as: videos or other current technology (Google Docs).

Presentation
- The workshop on using the SMART interactive whiteboard to create interactive lessons for the classroom has a combination of resources that participants will leave with. The workshop includes multimedia content, assessment tools, interaction that can be used in different subjects, and more. Participants will get the opportunity to learn what resources are already available through the Notebook Software and how to use it to fit their students’ needs. Participants will also get the opportunity to view some interactive lessons that have been used in various classrooms that includes different types of multimedia and other interactive links to keep students engaged.

Graphic Organizer
- The graphic organizer will be used to show teachers how they can get students engaged in the lesson while keeping their notes organized. Participants will get to see how graphic organizers can be used interactively within the classroom. In addition to organizing information, participants will be able to determine their individual strengths and weaknesses in creating interactive lessons.

Pre-Training
- The workshop requires that participants have some knowledge of the SMART interactive whiteboard. The workshop will not have the time to actually teach participants about different parts of the SMART board. Participants will view examples of sample lessons used by other teachers as well as projects that some students have created.
